About

A firm building for the next thirty years.

The work

What we are building.

The senior designers who run private placement life insurance reviews are an extraordinary craft. They hold institutional memory that takes a generation to acquire and is, today, dispersed across spreadsheets, inboxes, and the heads of people inside five years of retirement. The work itself - composing a recommendation that ties together carrier illustrations, fund performance, trust documents, and tax posture - is exacting and largely uncodified.

We are building the system that holds that craft as it transitions: captures the steps, runs the mechanical work, and surfaces the decisions where they belong, in front of the partner who is accountable for them. The platform is meant to be in use thirty years from now. Every choice we make - the audit posture, the household model, the typography - is sized for that horizon.

How we work

Three commitments.

  1. I.

    The record is the product.

Software that holds custody of a firm’s working files has to be conservative about the record. We default to append-only, hash-verified, and exportable. If a firm wants to leave, the record leaves with them.

  2. II.

    One workflow at a time.

The temptation to be everything to everyone is the surest way to be useful to no one. We finish the PPLI inforce review before we begin the next workflow. Adjacent workflows come once the spine is stable.

  3. III.

    Plain language, always.

Pricing, security, terms, changelog: we publish them in language a reader can finish. Marketing prose that promises the moon is the first sign of a product that does not.
